Founded by Dr. Nadine Boothe-Gooden, a multilingual language specialist and international business consultant, IBLC emerged from firsthand experience working across Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. While living and working in China, Dr. Boothe-Gooden identified a critical need for professional language services and culturally competent communication to support international trade, education, and diplomacy. This is where she registered International Business & Language Consulting Ltd., headquartered in Hong Kong, China.
Upon returning to Jamaica, IBLC expanded its focus to include structured language training, professional translation and interpreting, and cultural orientation programmes, and added its new arm, The Language Cradle, registered under the Ministry of Education.
With a strong foundation in both education and international business practice, The Language Cradle, powered by its parent company IBLC, remains committed to excellence, confidentiality and effective communication across languages and cultures.
